From the high performance material Aluminiumoxid Alumina Systems GmbH produces customized ceramic – to – metal composites. Glastechnik Kirste KG is an innovative company located on a historic site in Remda Germany, near Erfurt, Ilmenau and Jena. "Working with technical glass" is an over 100 year old tradition in the region between Jena and Ilmenau. Notable work, in terms of scientific equipment and the production of technical glass, exists in Jena.
