Mode of operation As containers large capacity containers are designated, which serve for storage and transport of various goods. They can contain entire production or control systems. Due to the modular design and the standardized dimensions and connections, mobile use is possible without complications. The containers are manufactured in a very robust construction, with double walls and additional fittings for secure fixing during transport. Tank containers can be supplied with integrated controls, which are insulated from the media by built-in partition walls. For liquids, the manufacturer usually uses cylindrical designs. These are held by a surrounding frame, which facilitates installation and safe transport. The vessels can be made of stainless steel, steel, plastic, composite materials or ceramics.Application areas Process containers are mainly used in the chemical industry. The standardized, modular systems allow new production facilities to be set up or existing processes to be adapted within a very short time. Since chemical production lines are often subject to very high wear and tear, maintenance costs can be kept low using modular components. For temporary use, the systems can be rented from the manufacturer. This is ideal for the use of mobile tank farms or cleaning plants. In food processing, the process containers are fitted with important modules such as cooling, heating and mixing units. Sensors monitor temperature, pressure and tightness. The interior can be optically monitored by means of viewing windows. If the containers are manufactured according to ISO standards, they can be used for transport by ship, train and truck.
