The helicopter is a module housing for the performance of comparative tests of tubular membranes on a laboratory scale. It allows the simultaneous test of 4 membranes with the same liquid under identical conditions (temperature, pressure, overflow velocity etc.). At the same time it is possible to determine the optimum process parameters. Based on the INSIDE CéRAM range of tubular membranes, the helicopter can be used to carry out separation tasks in the fields of microfiltration, ultrafiltration and UF fine (nanofiltration). With extremely low dead volume, the helicopter allows the treatment of media with high content and fine particles or suspensions in processes of concentration, cleaning, coupling of membranes with reactors, etc... The high-quality workmanship of the housings and the materials used ensure that the modules can be used in even the most demanding applications. Specially developed sealing systems offer absolute safety in process operation and protection of the membrane. The connection systems offered for the housings (all variants of clamping ring clamp, clamping ring clamp and screw flange connections) enable their problem-free use in standard systems, the cost-effective design and implementation of new installations and good compatibility when replacing or retrofitting modules in existing systems. The product range extends from modules for laboratory use to industrial applications.

The medium to be treated is conveyed by a pump and cross-flows simultaneously over the surface of the 4 membranes. Inside each cell there is a membrane INSIDE CéRAM in the MF, UF or UF Fine (NF) range, depending on the choice. As standard, TAMI distributes multi-channel membranes with non-circular channel geometries. This maximizes the active filter area per membrane element. The membranes under the brand "InsideCeRAM" are offered in a total of 13 different separation limits together with stainless steel housings in 6 different size classes.
