Technical wool felt can be found in almost all large and small machines due to its excellent cleaning and lubricating qualities. From the smallest electric motor to the largest cold rolling mill. The use of felt is virtually unlimited – be it as rings, strips or stampings, whether cottony soft or rock-hard, self-adhesive and with a thickness range of 1 to 30 millimeters.
In the steel industry, felt is mainly used for cleaning and polishing. Besides different kinds of fluids, even the smallest particles of dirt can be removed using our products. Because of the superior wicking qualities of felt, the service life of machines increases drastically.
Our portfolio comprises products such as damper felts, gongballs and hammer head felts for the musical instruments industry as well as all other felt products, whether they be cut, drilled, punched, sanded or turned. Furthermore, we offer all types of qualities in various thicknesses and strengths.
General quality requirements increase step by step, caused by the competition between the individual companies, in addition, by the demands of our customers. Our quality politics are the possibility of being established for the future on the European market.
Austrotherm is the specialist for high-quality and future-oriented heat and sound insulation in Central and Eastern Europe. As a well-known and in many areas the only Austrian manufacturer of EPS and XPS insulation materials, facade profiles, sanitary interior construction products (building boards), Austrotherm focuses on a consistent quality and innovation policy.
Good quality and optimal service is a status with the customers, which is not least owed to the competent employees. Austrotherm is an insulation pioneer in Austria. The company was founded in 1953 by Oswald Nowotny, who was the first Austrian to produce Styropor. The Austrotherm Group consists of companies in 11 countries with 19 production sites and, like Baumit (facades, plasters, screeds) and Murexin (construction chemicals), belongs to the Schmid-Industrie-Holding.
Shortly after the opening of the East, Austrotherm was one of the first companies to enter the Eastern European market. Qualitative thermal insulation for the purpose of saving energy costs is becoming more and more important there. Austrotherm delivers with good thermal insulation a contribution to the increase of the quality of life.
Energy-saving thermal insulation from the basement to the roofFor
every area Austrotherm offers the optimal insulation solution: for the foundation, the basement, the perimeter and plinth area, as ceiling and impact sound insulation, in the interior, as thermal bridge insulation, for the wall, the flat and pitched roof
. Products: EPS - Styrofoam, XPS, Resolhartschaum, facade profiles, Uniplatte, PE foam filmsEPS
(Expanded Polystyrene, Styrofoam) is an insulation material that has proven itself as insulation (insulation) in roofs, walls, ceilings and floors of residential buildings and objects for many years
.
The pink XPS (extruded polystyrene, extruded foam) is especially important where extreme pressure and moisture stresses place particularly high demands on the insulation material.
The high-performance insulating material Austrotherm Resolution is a new rigid insulating foam, which insulates more than 40 % better than conventional insulating materials. It is therefore ideally suited for applications with limited space.
Austrotherm facade profiles beautify the house. Austrotherm UNIPLATTEN are building boards for sanitary, wet and interior applications. The Austrotherm PE foam foils are versatile as impact sound and thermal insulation and laminated also as a moisture barrier.
