Technology is changing faster and faster. Your machines have to run faster and faster to reduce production costs and increase productivity. Industrial manufacturing therefore places ever greater demands on materials and their machines. Faster machines generate higher temperatures and greater wear. Conventional materials are reaching their limits. These manufacturing processes now require materials that have more than one function. Materials are needed that have a combination of valuable properties or can be combined well. Combined properties AGK® manufactures individual components for thermal and electrical insulation. According to the customer's drawing, we manufacture from single pieces to small series.
- DuroBest® materials are particularly suitable for high-strength electrically insulating machine components.
- K-Therm® materials are additionally temperature resistant up to 1500°C.
- The GleitTherm® range of materials is designed in particular for special sliding applications up to 600°C, from chain slides to wear-free plain bearings.
- The range is rounded off by ThermTextil®, which offers flexible heat protection, from fabrics to hoses, at 1200°C.

The principle of composite materials is taken from nature: The natural materials have been optimized over three billion years of evolution. This resulted in particularly stable and light connections. One example are the embedded cellulose fibres of wood.
So it is obvious to use plant fibres in composite materials to meet today's high demands.
In modern natural fibre-reinforced materials we find today mainly fibres of flax, hemp, kenaf, sisal and albaca. These fibers with very high strength are embedded in another material with high toughness, the matrix.
Applications for natural fibre composites can be found everywhere. Especially in the areas of lightweight construction, furniture industry, sports and leisure industry or in the automotive sector, and of course in ecologically sensitive areas.
