Metal profiles are different types of profiles made of metal. When we talk about metal profiles, there are many different shapes to be found under this term. They can be found in different shapes because they have to fulfil certain functions, such as carrying a large weight. Bending presses and bending machines are used for the production of metal profiles. Metal profiles are made of a wide variety of materials. In areas where they have to withstand a lot of weight, they are usually made of steel. In drywall construction, these are made of aluminium. In certain areas, however, there are also metal profiles made of stainless steel, copper or a casting. A well-known example of metal profiles can be found in dry construction. There they are used to set up walls to which plasterboards are screwed. The floor and ceiling profiles have a U-shape. The vertical upright profiles are inserted into these to give the wall a hold. Other areas of application for metal profiles can be found in the flooring trade. There they are used for floor finishes. These can usually be found in the door between two rooms. Metal profiles are also used in steel construction, window construction and roller shutter construction. There they serve in most cases for the embellishment, or for reasons of the thermal protection.
