Fused Deposition Moulding (FDM/FFF)
An object is constructed using thermoplastic filaments that are heated and melted and then deposited layer by layer through a nozzle. Its equipment cost is low and operation is easy, suitable for proof of concept and functional prototyping.

Stereolithography (SLA)
Using UV laser to cure photosensitive resin layer by layer, it can obtain high resolution and better surface quality, and is suitable for precision models and complex structural prototypes.

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) / Selective Laser Melting (SLM)
SLS uses a laser to sinter powdered materials (plastics, metals or ceramics) together, while SLM solidifies and moulds the powder after it has been completely melted. Both processes produce highly functional, structurally dense parts that are commonly used in aerospace and automotive applications.

Digital Light Processing (DLP)
Similar to SLA, but uses a projector to solidify the entire level of optical graphics at once for fast production and high resolution.
There are also various processes based on inkjet deposition, fused metal deposition (DED), and electron beam melting (EBM).
