Dispenser carts for steel strapping are distinguished mainly in whether they are needed for steel strapping in stack winding or ribbon coils. In the case of stack winding, the steel strapping is set onto an axis and unrolled; an integrated strapping brake prevents uncontrolled rolling off of the strapping. In case of ribbon coils, the coil or disc is put into a slit in the dispenser cart and is then unrolled with the help of a ball bearing.
With dispenser carts for steel strapping in stack winding, there is a range available of very simple dispenser carts and very sturdy / high-quality ones. The former makes sense when the steel strapping is mainly used in one place. However, if the dispenser must be moved around a lot, one should invest in a high-quality device equipped among others with solid rubber rollers.
