KMD Plastifizierungstechnik GmbH is a developer and manufacturer of high-quality extruders for plastics processing and laboratory systems for fiber spinning.

KMD has a strong research and development team with extensive experience and know-how in a variety of areas including mechanical engineering, fluid mechanics, fine chemicals, plastics technology, synthetic fibers, nonwovens technology, textiles, automation and others. In addition to our internal activities, we are also involved in a large number of joint R&D projects with universities in Europe, the USA and Asia in these areas. Thanks to this interdisciplinary, mutually complementary cooperation, we have been able to significantly increase the efficiency and success of our own projects. KMD's technologies and products are based on this, and this is what everything at KMD revolves around.

Our R&D activities focus on technologies for the plasticization of plastics. Accordingly, the portfolio of products we develop and manufacture ranges from extruders for plasticizing plastics and manufacturing new materials to systems for producing microfibres.

We are specialized in nonwovens production in spunlace technology as well as needlepunched. Our products are manufactured from polyester, polypropylen, viscose (rayon), bicomponent fibers in many blends, colours and surface patterns.
