Since the foundation of AGRO BALTIC GmbH Rostock in April 1991 the import and distribution of solid and liquid fertilizers to Germany and Europe are the core business of our company.
Our customers are well-known fertilizer wholesalers all over Germany and agricultural traders in the north and east of Germany, but also in other European countries.
The scope of services of our company also includes the chartering of sea and inland waterway vessels and the forwarding of individual deliveries.
Taking into account the constantly changing conditions in agriculture, AGRO BALTIC GmbH participates in the development of new processes and products in order to make agricultural production more environmentally friendly, reliable and cost-effective.
AGRO BALTIC GmbH was founded in 1991 as a wholly owned subsidiary of F. Rellmann GmbH in Buchholz i.d.N. near Hamburg and was integrated into the CMF - Group (Common Market Fertilizer) with headquarters in Brussels in 1996.
In 2004 AB "ACHEMA" in Jonava (Lithuania), one of the leading nitrogen fertilizer producers in the Baltic region, acquired 50 percent of our company. In 2008, the Canadian joint-stock company Agrium Inc. took over the CMF - Group, which has been operating under the name of Agrium Europe since 2010.
ARGO BALTIC GmbH was thus for about 7 years a 50 percent subsidiary of Agrium Europe SA with headquarters in Brussels (Belgium) and other branches in European countries.
In 2015, this partnership ended with the 100% takeover of the shares by the Lithuanian group UAB Koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ.
