The aim of vacuum plant construction is to optimise production processes in industry with the aid of an artificially generated vacuum. The empty space helps to improve process speeds, error frequency, transport routes and product quality. In the technical implementation, extensive measuring and control elements help to ensure the constant maintenance of the vacuum in order to reduce energy consumption. Typical areas of application are in the degassing of melts in metallurgy, the transport of light goods, air conditioning technology and the food industry. But in the aerospace industry, too, the creation of an artificially created vacuum space is often used.Industrial frying is a practical example of the use of vacuum systems. By using a vacuum, the temperature during the frying process can be significantly reduced, as the boiling point of the water is reduced. This allows on the one hand a health-friendly preparation of food, on the other hand products can be deep-fried which would be inedible with a conventional preparation. Sometimes, however, taste losses occur due to frying under vacuum.
