• Synchronous Serial Interface, SSIis a digital interface for absolute displacement and angle measuring systems. It enables the digital, absolute transmission of path or angle information without bus overhead. It is therefore particularly suitable for applications in which reliability and signal robustness are required in an industrial environment.
• CANopen InterfaceVarious methods for parameterization of bus devices as well as error detection and handling give the CANopen protocol outstanding properties. With regard to position sensors, all relevant device data of the higher-level control system can be easily imported via electronic data sheets (eds files). The availability of features such as cam switches, limit switches, speed data, etc. provides real added value for connected components. CANopen is suitable as an interface both in dynamic applications and for use in complex control networks.
• IO-Link interfaceis a manufacturer-independent digital interface. IO-Link makes the properties of intelligent sensors fully usable and thus opens up new paths in automation technology (keyword industry 4.0).
• Incremental interface (quadrature interface)has its origin in incremental measuring systems. Here the dimensional scale is applied to a glass plate or strip. This is scanned with optical systems. Two signals are generated: A- and B-pulse, which have a positive or negative phase shift of 90° depending on the direction of movement. The number of A or B pulses is a measure of the distance travelled.
