Modern, service-friendly data visualization To offer plant operators a complete solution for monitoring the filling level of silos and to ensure reliable material disposition, transparent data visualization is the efficient solution. Detected measurement results of the sensors in the silos are quickly and easily visualized with such software and can be conveniently called up from the screen at any time.Easy project planning and implementation Users from a wide variety of industries with several storage silos or intermediate containers prefer automated data visualization and level monitoring for their systems in order to reliably monitor their stock levels. A Europe-wide operating Kunststoffe GmbH with a multitude of plants at different locations was looking for a regular detection plus visualization of the stocks in storage silos for plastic granulate some time ago. Particular consideration for the plant operator was to avoid unforeseen fluctuations in demand that had occurred more frequently up to then and the associated sudden emergency situations that would lead to unplanned additional expenditure. A remote data interrogation system adapted to the plant created transparency of filling levels for 25 plastic silos. The data visualization series includes various complete systems for level indication, trend indication, data storage and remote level monitoring and can be individually adapted to any system concept. Since any sensor with 4-20mA can be connected to the Modbus converter, a multitude of configuration options could be easily realized. It was decided that the desired content measurement would be taken over by electromechanical solder systems. These are networked via Modbus RTU and connected to a touch panel, where the level data is visualized. The filling of storage silos is stopped in time via a reliable full signal and the silo contents are also monitored during production. The low cabling effort at the silo system is convenient for project planning with Modbus RTU sensors. Only a bus cable and a cable for the power supply are wired to the silo system. There all sensors can be wired in series. The data visualization provides levels in height, percent, weight or volume. Trends are stored, e-mails about filling levels or silo full messages can be activated, even the individual filling level sensors can be parameterised.
