A slide projector is an optical device, which projects by means of an increased lens on a projected image area an illuminated image. There are different types of slide projectors.

Front projectors depict the scattered light of an object, which has a diffuse backscattering effect. They are also referred to as periscopes. These can project a page of a book on the wall when a strong light source is given.
Another variant is the reflection projection. Here templates are used, which reflect.

Micromirror arrays are used mainly in video projectors. They make use of the reflection of the light beam advantage, which emanates from small mirrors, which are located on a microchip and can be moved. One uses micromirror array to project both images and movies.

Slide projectors are used to present both slides and images, as well as data. Similarly, images can be projected on screen. A slide projector replaces both panels and film presentations. Projectors, which can be connected both to your computer or to a VCR, also known under the name Beamer.
