The supply programme includes telephone cables from in-house use up to
LAN networks as well as underground cables of various types for
long-distance and local networks, e.g. for German Telecom. Furthermore
we manufacture signal cables for railroad operation and for monitoring
and control of industrial plants. In addition to our core business our
supply programme includes electronic and safety cables of various types
and customised special cables. We use different materials like PVC, PE
or PUR as well as halogen-free compounds for the production of these
cables.

Telephone Lines

Large parts of telecommunications are still handled via the fixed network. In order to transfer the telephone calls from one subscriber to another, telephone lines that are connected in telephone networks are used as far as possible. Telephone lines are sheathed and shielded conductor cables over which an electrical signal for telecommunications flows. In earlier times, copper cables were used almost exclusively for this purpose, but nowadays more and more fiber optic cables are used as cable carriers for data transmission. In Germany, the largest line network is still operated by Deutsche Telekom, but in the meantime various competitors have established themselves primarily regionally as network operators with their own telephone network. In these telephone networks, the telephone lines are connected and networked from distribution point to distribution point. Originally, telephone lines were mounted above ground on telephone poles as classic overhead lines and led along the streets from town to town, from distribution point to distribution point. Later, the underground laying of telephone lines became established and the cables were buried in pipes. The classic telephone lines, as everyone knows them, are the telephone cables that run in the house to the apartment and send the electrical telephone signal from the line network analog or digital to the telephone wall socket.
