Cell Cultures
Cell culture can be cultured under sterile conditions, e.g. clean rooms or laboratories in an artificially created environment outside the organism. Cell cultures are created from human, animal and plant cells. The latest technologies enable large quantities of cells to be produced in a very short time. Among other things, they serve to produce hormones from biological products. However, there is a difference to tissue culture. At the beginning, she only had isolated cells. If tissue cultures are to be created from animal and human tissue, fresh tissue samples are taken directly from the organism. With small pieces of tissue, also called explants, a suitable nutrient substrate is created which either comes directly from the organism (e.g. blood plasma) or it is artificially assembled. Plant cells, tissues or organs can also be cultivated. Most often the culture of isolated roots is used for this.
