Lashband as a low-cost alternative to expensive reusable ratchets
The woven polyester load backup tape is used as a disposable lashing strap. It is also known as lax band or as a lashing and represents a very cost effective alternative to expensive reusable ratchets. The Sandax - load strap backup is available in strengths between 2000 daN and 7500 daN.

Lashing, also called lash strapping band or lash band, are single-use or disposable lashing straps, which consist of woven polyester filaments. Once the lash strapping band has a width of 32 mm, one can speak of lashing. As with multiple-use lashing straps, the tensile strength is printed onto the lash band.
It should also be mentioned that all our lashing products have Germanischer-Lloyd (GL) certification approval. With the 32mm wide lashing a tensile strength of 2,300 daN is achieved, with the 40mm wide band it is even 5,000 daN!
A special type of woven polyester strapping is polyester lashing, that is single use polyester lashing belts which are mainly used by export packers. They can be characterized by extremely high breaking strengths with the breaking strength printed on the strap. Unlike woven polyester strapping, make-up is in PE bags instead of coils with cardboard core.
