The family-owned company KNOLL supplies manufacturers and users of machine tools worldwide with conveying, filtering and pumping systems. All industries in which machine tools turn, mill, drill or grind use KNOLL products - for example mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, vehicle construction as well as the aerospace industry and energy technology. Another business unit solves demanding logistics tasks with innovative assembly and transport systems.
With over 1,000 employees, KNOLL is the largest company in the Upper Swabian town of Bad Saulgau. Walter Knoll founded the company in a 200 m² hall in 1970. It has been growing constantly on its own premises since 1974. In the beginning, the built-up area was 900 m², in 2015 it's already covering more than 54,000 m². Due to a high vertical range of manufacture, the added value remains within the company. The connection and responsibility to the structurally weak region are firmly anchored in the company's philosophy. Whether it's an airplane, a turbine blade, a car rim, a knife or a cell phone - the list of end products that KNOLL contributes to manufacturing is diverse.

TRAPO located in Gescher-Hochmoor, Westphalia, is a partner for industrial automation. Its core competencies include worldwide conception and engineering, manufacturing and commissioning as well as after-sales service for machines and systems in intralogistics. TRAPO solutions are used across industries for picking, packing, (de-)palletizing, packing, load securing, warehousing, sorting and distribution technology as well as loading and unloading.
The goal: To meet the globally increasing demand for automation of all production processes. The claim: To offer solutions for the automation of the diverse production processes before the need arises.

Research and development have always been of central importance in the in-house technical center. Creating sophisticated ideas is not left to pure chance at IEF-Werner. It is the result of over 35 years of experience in the creation of modular components and applications. This creative process is daily ensured by more than 130 employees.
Our modular components enable the realisation of customised machines in a very short time. From components arise positioning systems. From positioning systems arise customised applications - up to fully automated production lines. Through foresight and consistent modularisation, IEF disposes of a product portfolio that is unique in the world.
