With our oxy-fuel cutting machines, which are equipped with 4 - 6 oxy-fuel torches, we are able to cut steel sheets up to a thickness of 200mm. Using propane gas and oxygen, we manufacture flame-cut parts up to a unit weight of 10 tons. The blanks have a width of max. 3m and a length of max. 14m.
Double-sided longitudinal drives on our flame cutting machines allow high accelerations and speeds (positioning speed up to 15m/min). In connection with a robust bridge construction we achieve a high accuracy in flame cutting. This is particularly advantageous for flame-cut parts with tight radii or shaped blanks with sharp corners. In this way even relatively small holes in steel plates can be burned.
With the help of these firing technologies we achieve firing speeds of up to 500mm/min. - depending on material thickness but also on the material of the sheet to be cut. In contrast to plasma cutting, the oxyfuel flame cutting process does not produce any cutting bevels in the production of steel parts. This means that even with thick flame-cut parts, close tolerances must be maintained. However, oxy-fuel flame cutting also has its limits: Thin steel sheets of less than 8mm warp easily, because the flame of the oxy-fuel burner brings a lot of energy (heat) into the blanks.
On the basis of the technical drawing or sketch provided by the customer, the corresponding firing plan for the fitting is created at the programming station and sent to the control system of the firing machine. Simple contours such as rings and discs or oval flanges can be created directly on the machine. Therefore we are able to produce large series as well as smallest quantities economically.
