To make a wooden board look less bulky, a recess can be made in the board. To do this, a template is created and the shape is drawn. Two circular holes are cut into the wood with a milling machine. Then use a jigsaw to remove the remaining wood from the recess. Since a hole already exists, one can start here and cut out the material along the curved lines. This allows the desired shape of the recess to be achieved very precisely.
