Glass cutting is an old craft which had its beginnings already in the 7th century BC. With the invention of blowpipes since the birth of Christ this craft has been streamlined. Different glass cutting techniques exist. The so called arrissed edges correspond to the break down with grinding stone. The fine adjusted edges are manufactured through entirely flat grinding. These edges then have a matt sheen. Through polishing the brilliant edges are achieved. Through ornamental milling these are then further refined.
