Description

We are experts in durable and economic marking of industrial parts to help eliminate forgery. We have been developing and manufacturing high-quality systems for dot peen marking, scribe marking and conventional marking for over 25 years. We can meet our customers needs individually and precisely.

Technical data

You can rely on the extremely robust scratch markers MV5 VU4, MV5 VU4 ECO SPRINT and MV5 VU4 SPRINT in your daily marking work. They are equipped with high quality linear guides in combination with precision ball screws and guarantee highest repeat accuracy during marking. In addition, the quality guides give the scribe embossers high stability and a long service life. The scribing embossers are based on years of further development and are characterised by rapid marking speeds, highest marking qualities and optimum adaptation possibilities at a very favourable price/performance ratio. Their technology is designed for high volumes and short cycle times in three-shift operation. The marking heads are already prepared in the factory for integration into production, assembly or testing systems. This enables a fast and smooth integration into automatic processes - for example in PLC-controlled production plants. The marking and scribing needle head is maintenance-free. The very stable, diamond-tipped marking needle works pneumatically. The marking head works independently of position. Marking head MV5 VU4 High-quality standard scratch embossing unit for marking tasks of all kinds. MV5 VU4 ECO SPRINT marking head Short cycle times? No worries. This version allows a marking time of approx. 3-4 seconds for 10 characters 3-4mm font height. Marking head MV5 VU4 SPRINT The sprinter among the scribing embossers. This version allows a marking time of approx. 2-3 seconds for 10 characters 3-4mm font height.

About us
Company - the ÖSTLING Group
In the middle of the 18th century, steel experts of Walloon origin emigrated from Belgium to northern Sweden. Your name was Pierro. In the up-and-coming ironworks district of Sandviken, they attained prosperity, bought a manor and changed their name: ÖSTLING.
Her interest in technology remained unchanged. They developed machines, e.g. to convey peat rationally, to deform steel or to produce nails.
This innovative thinking and the motivation of our ancestors have shaped the founder of the company Rolf Östling.
In 1945 he was born in Gävle in Sweden, a harbour town, and after graduating from high school while studying industrial engineering, he had the idea of developing a labelling system.
He started building a machine in a tiny dark cellar in 1968.
His first customers were Sandvik (the world's largest hard metal producer) and Svenska (ball bearing factory).
Innovations such as corrosion-free electrolytes and stencil material with very long service lives helped the company to expand further.
Then in 1978 he moved to Germany (Essen) and founded the company ÖSTLING Vertriebs GmbH.
In 1979, the company headquarters were moved to Solingen, as the cutlery and cutlery industry in the town of Klingen has a worldwide reputation and market potential is concentrated here.
Due to the constant expansion, especially in export, the company moved again in 1988 within Solingen in order to meet the development and space requirements. The company is renamed ÖSTLINGMarkiersysteme GmbH.
In 2003 the company STOMMEL+VOOS Marking Technologies GmbH from Solingen became an important part of the worldwide represented ÖSTLING Group, offering solutions and technologies for all problems of industrial marking in the daily production process from one source.
The product range of STOMMEL+VOOS includes e.g. stamping tools, hand punches, wheel punches, disc punches or type holders. In addition, STOMMEL+VOOS also offers needle embossers, scribe embossers, presses, stamping machines, marking systems, high-tech robot marking systems and special machine construction.
Through the acquisition of further companies, further expansion and internationalisation, ÖSTLING Markiersysteme GmbH becomes ÖSTLING Marking Systems GmbH in 2013.
At the same time, foreign sales offices were established in Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore, China (Shenzen and Hong Kong), France, England and the USA.
In the German headquarters in Solingen, a modern development and production centre has been established, where hardware and software development is carried out.
The ÖSTLING Group now offers marking systems for almost every product.
For almost 50 years now, the ÖSTLING Group has been one of the world market leaders in product labelling. The family-owned company is the pioneer of electrolytic marking.
In addition to needle embossing and scribing, the product range also includes state-of-the-art technologies such as laser marking and vision systems, as well as special mechanical engineering tailored to individual customer requirements.
Customers appreciate the safety, reliability and compatibility of ÖSTLING products. Thanks to the production at the headquarters in Solingen, the predicate "Made in Germany" and "Quality from Solingen" are written in capital letters.
Marking systems from the ÖSTLING Group not only set standards with regard to their technical specifications, but also with regard to safety-relevant properties. Especially when working with lasers, the hazard potential is considerable. In this area, the company is far ahead of its competitors with triple-secured security systems. So far, no other producer in this field has been able to demonstrate this.
"Play it safe with us!"
This is the motto of the development department at ÖSTLINGMarking Systems GmbH.
Go green!
For many years, the ÖSTLING Group has been committed to eliminating hazardous substances from our products. We are also committed to ensuring that our products in production minimise customer waste and environmental impact. Our laser products deserve special mention. In addition to the consumables that are not required, the pollutant-free labelling and the exemplary energy balance offer sustainable and thus ecological added value.
Mark? What's that for?
Among other things, markings serve the following purposes:
Traceability (product traceability)
In the event of recalls of defective products, affected companies suffer high image-related and above all financial losses. The main reason for this is the lack of ability to recognize quality defects in the company in good time and to quickly and effectively isolate affected products and product components along the supply chain.
branding
Design is an indispensable component of successful brand management and an integral part of a customer-oriented corporate strategy. The professional design of products contributes directly to added value. Appealing design creates added value when launching new products, gaining market share and pursuing pricing policies.
counterfeit protection
Supposedly cheap car parts are quickly ordered on the Internet. However, the cheap parts (mostly from China or Eastern Europe) are often counterfeit. Due to short life span bargain hunters have to pay at the end however. Counterfeiting of safety-relevant parts can lead to serious accidents and life-threatening situations. For example, inferior brakes can significantly increase the braking distance or torn rims can break apart. Counterfeits are sometimes very difficult for dealers and car mechanics to recognise, not to mention the end customer. With our marking solutions, originals can be clearly marked and legally identified.
Other areas of application include test and quality seals, theft protection, type plates, labels (e.g. recycling symbols), consumer protection and product quality assurance.

Scratch Embosser - Manufacturers, Traders & Suppliers

Scratch Embosser
The embossing machine is an industrial device that embosses various letters, words and numbers into metal or other materials by scribing. The system of the embossing machine is based on a pneumatic embossing needle with a diamond tip, so that even the hardest materials can be embossed. The needle is controlled by a so-called coordinate slide and can thus be moved very precisely so that the exact shape of the characters can be determined. Scribe stamps are used in the electronics industry, the jewellery industry and the automotive industry, for example. For example, a serial number is carved into electronic circuit boards. In the case of jewelry, for example, the chassis number can be carved into the chassis by the car's engraver. The embossing machine takes on a very important task, because it can process any material, because no material is as hard as the diamond tip of the embossing machine, but on the other hand works much more precisely than for example embossing machines, which press the desired objects into the material by pure pressure. The embossing machine enables an exact tracing of products, since serial numbers are often not to be seen and one can scratch these in such a very small size onto the desired object. System description:The variable marking of the scribing system is carried out by a scribing needle with a diamond tip which is pneumatically applied to the front. The scribe is mounted on a stepper motor controlled coordinate slide with spindle drives and is moved in the form of the respective character.Print source and text source:
