With the pneumatic-mechanical safety clamping system type PLD, the clamping strips, which are evenly distributed around the circumference, are pressed outwards in a radial direction by a spring package and thus clamp a previously pushed on winding core/coil with a defined contact pressure. The integrated pneumatic cylinder acts against the spring force and, when pressurised with 6 bar compressed air, pushes the clamping strips inwards and releases the winding core.
An unintentional loosening of the winding core, e.g. due to pressure drop or leakage, is reliably excluded.
The centrically expanding clamping bars cause an exact alignment of the winding and guarantee high concentricity precision.
Type QLD
The QLD works on the same basis. However, the sleeves are tensioned mechanically by actuating the handle instead of pneumatics.
