For the production of complete assemblies, PreTec's technical facilities were expanded at the beginning of 1999 to include conventional and CNC-controlled machines for turning, milling and drilling. On the basis of the economic development to date, an additional laser cutting and water jet cutting system was commissioned at the end of 1999. A CNC press brake was put into operation at the beginning of 2000 to expand the processing possibilities. The blanks produced on the cutting machines can thus be further processed by bending.

Description

For the production of turned parts we have modern conventional and CNC controlled lathes at our disposal. Our oldest lathe in production dates back to 2011 and we are currently expanding our turning capacity. The CNC turning centres have tool changers with driven tools, so that threads, surfaces and grooves can be produced with the lathe.
Our turning shop is designed for single stones and small series. Here is a short technical overview of our machines, if these possibilities are not sufficient for your parts we have cooperation partners to meet your requirements.

Turning is considered a machining process. Plastics and metals can be processed or manufactured in this way. It is possible to turn manually or automatically. The automated lathe is a so-called CNC.The workpiece rotates during the turning process and the chip is removed by the rotation. In other words, the workpiece rotates permanently and the turning tool is moved along the workpiece. It is very important to be familiar with the lathe, as the cutting speed, speed, feed rate and cutting depth must be set. Furthermore, it is important which surface condition should be given, therefore it must either be roughly removed. This is called roughing or fine stock removal, that is called finishing.The cutting speed is adapted to the material to be turned. These values are already specified in each metal table book and can thus be taken. Once the cutting speed has been determined, the speed can be set. During pre-turning, the feed rate is usually set as high as possible. In order to subsequently achieve a higher surface quality, finishing is carried out at low feed rates. The feed direction is decided between transverse and longitudinal turning. If incorrect adjustments have been made, the workpiece may begin to oscillate and a wave-shaped grinding may occur.
