Tacho generators
Tacho generators are analog transducers for instrumentation and control technology. The task of these permanently (magnet) excited generators is to convert the speed with which they are driven into a voltage proportional to that speed. Thanks to their robust design and construction these encoders are suitable for large industrial drives such as those found in steel and rolling mills, coal mining operations, in process engineering, railways, power plants and in marine engineering.
In addition to the shorter and longer series versions it is also possible to deploy the tacho generators as double tacho generators versions or in combination with incremental encoders and overspeed limit switches.
