Pressure sensors (also known as pressure cans, pressure load cells or pressure transmitters) differ, apart from the design and the output signal, mainly in the type of reference pressure for pressure measurement: here there are pressure sensors for relative pressure, absolute pressure and differential pressure transducers.
In a pressure sensor for relative pressure, the back of the sensor element is exposed to the air pressure surrounding us. In a typical setup, a small tube leads from the back of the sensor to the plug or through the connection cable. These pressure sensors have the advantage that fluctuations in air pressure are not reflected in a fluctuation of the output signal.
The pressure sensor for absolute pressure has a small chamber on the back of the sensor membrane which is completely evacuated, i.e. the chamber is 0 bar absolute. These pressure sensors show the current air pressure, which is typically between 950 and 1050 mbar, as long as no measuring pressure is present. Changes in air pressure (e.g. due to a rising high or low) therefore lead to a change in the measuring signal without changing the actual pressure value. A special type of absolute pressure sensors are barometers, which measure the ambient air pressure very precisely. A special form of the pressure sensor is the so called sealed gauge version. Here, the reference chamber is sealed tightly at approx. 1000 mbar. These pressure sensors are mainly used for measuring ranges >10 bar. Closing the reference chamber prevents, for example, aggressive gases from entering the reference chamber and causing corrosion.
Another special form of pressure sensors are so-called differential pressure sensors or pressure transducers. Here the back of the sensor membrane is mechanically constructed in such a way that it can be used as an independent pressure connection for pressure measurement. A pressure sensor (pressure cell or pressure load cell) in this version therefore indicates zero at the same pressure on the input and reference sides. Differential pressure sensors differ substantially in their mechanical construction. Here there are simple designs which, for example, only allow dry gases for the reference side or also high-quality pressure transmitters which allow an overload (even on one side) of more than 200 bar at a small nominal measuring range of 35 mbar.
Pressure transmitters often have a very robust mechanical design and have a 4...20 mA output signal which is common in process measurement technology.

The ceramic pressure sensor module adopts ceramic material (Al2O3 96%) and works according to the principle of the piezoresistive, the signal conditioning is done by a small PCB, which is mounted directly to the sensor, offering 0.5-4.5V, ratio- metric voltage signal (customized is available). Electronics provide offset and span correction when the temperature changes, therefore excellent long-term stability and negligible temperature drifts can be guaranteed, it has been developed for low-cost applications. It has a reinforced outer area (monolithic structure), the sensor is easy to mount in a plastic or metallic case by using an O-ring, and thanks to the good chemical resistance of the ceramic, the sensor can measure pressure in nearly all aggressive media.
As a high-performance sensitive element, the diffused silicon core can be easily processed for signal amplification and assembled into a transmitter with standard signal output. The sensing element is encapsulated in 316L material, and the applied pressure is transferred to the sensitive chip through stainless steel diaphragm and internally sealed silicone oil. The sensing element does not directly contact the measured medium, forming an all-solid structure for pressure measurement. It is widely used in the process control of petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, power, electronic systems, aerospace, medical, chemical, automotive, electromechanical equipment and other industries.
The micro-melting pressure sensor is made of imported 17-4PH stainless steel, without "O" ring, weld, and leakage. The overload capacity of the sensor is 300% FS, and the failure pressure is 500% FS, which is applicable to high-pressure overload. In view of the possible sudden change of pressure in the hydraulic system, the sensor is equipped with a damping protection device, which can effectively resist the instantaneous pressure impact, and is widely used in the construction machinery, machine tool industry, metallurgy, chemical industry, electric power, high-purity gas, hydrogen pressure measurement, agricultural machinery and other industries with complex heavy industrial environment.
