Machine for carrying out abrasion testing by scraping on unshielded low-voltage cables in accordance with DIN ISO 6722 and DIN 72551. During the test, the surface of the insulation is rubbed off in both directions along the longitudinal axis of the cable over an adjustable length of between 10 - 15 mm. The SIEMENS touch panel is used to enter the nominal strokes and to display the actual counter reading (numeric + bars) as well as the operating and fault messages. After reaching the set number of cycles or when the scraping tool makes contact with the conductor, the machine is switched off. In accordance with the requirements of the test according to DIN ISO 6722, the specimen can be shifted by 300 mm together with the clamping device in steps of 50 mm and turned by 90° in grid steps.
