Watch parts are components of a watch or a related system. Watches in general are time measuring instruments that display the current time or measure a certain period of time. Furthermore, such technical measuring instruments are used to determine the time of day and time differences. Examples of devices with these functions are the stopwatch and the time recorder. In common parlance, a very accurate clock is also called a chronometer. These can also have special functions, such as tachymeters. This function takes over the measurement of speeds or paths per time unit.
