The advantages of ceramic coating for printing technology
Ceramic coating for printing rollers is one of the more recent technologies. Ceramics are among the most resistant materials. Industrial ceramics do not care about humidity or heat. The advantage of ceramic coating for printing rollers is that the material does not deform even under higher mechanical stress. Unlike metals, a ceramic coating does not corrode. The full quality of the printing rollers with cells and also of the anilox rollers is thus maintained over a very long period of time. This is favoured by the fact that industrial ceramics have an enormous resistance to contact with chemical liquids. The printing inks contain solvents, for example, which can attack other surfaces.
