Beading machines, also called beading machines, are industrial or also manual machines for binding so-called beading on a sheet metal or on a tube. These beads are channel-shaped depressions in sheets, cylinders, pipes, cans or other vessels that are machined by beading machines to increase stiffness or enhance the design optically. In the past, the beads had to be brought in manually using the beading hammer, but today the beading machine has taken over this task. The beading machine consists mainly of two rollers. One roll carries the positive shape of the bead, while the other roll carries the negative shape of the bead. The rollers can be flexibly exchanged on the machine for any other rollers. The operation Before starting the operation, the workpiece (sheet metal) to be machined is inserted between the two rollers. The rollers are now set in motion either manually or by an electric motor so that the workpiece is pulled through. In the course of the operation, the upper roll is then fed in step by step, which leads to an ever greater deepening of the bead in the sheet metal. Current applications The beading machine is used, for example, in the production of cans which are stiffened by beading and are also visually enhanced. Also in the automotive industry, where the car bodies are stiffened by beading or the machines for sheet metal forming are used, for example, to select the brand names of transporters in their rear doors. The beading bending machine is available as a mechanically and automatically controlled bending machine. It is used to provide straight sheets or cylindrically formed tubes with a bulge; the so-called bead. This is how bead bending machines With these special bending machines, two rollers form the tools required for forming. One roll has the positive form. The second roller forms the negative mould. Depending on the shape of the workpiece, it is either placed between the rollers or on one of the two rollers. Due to the rotary movement of the two rollers and their positive and negative shapes, the bead forms on the workpiece. Like every bending, the forming of the bead is a permanent deformation in which the elastic limit of the processed material is exceeded by pressure. Machines for forming beads must not be confused with beading machines that create a standing seam. Bending machines are available in several versions. The machines are used and available as new equipment and are designed to meet the individual requirements of the user. Small portable machines are available on the market as well as large machines from special manufacturers for industrial use. Forming is preferably done manually on small machines. Larger machines are often semi-automated. Here the stepless speed control and the feeding of the workpieces are carried out by the machine operator. Machines for industrial use are mostly program-controlled and work fully automatically. Application areas of these special bending machines The special machines for forming a bead are preferably used in metal processing. Plumbers and roofers in particular depend on this special bending machine every day to produce stiffening or connecting beads on sheet metal or pipes. In industrial applications, this type of machine is used wherever metal or plastic sheets and pipes have to be beaded in order to provide a reliable connection.
