The skin-compatible silicone
From Hollywood, the Body Double® silicone has become the standard product for body impressions worldwide. Our customers of theatres, opera houses & Special FX Studios in Europe prefer Body Double® because of its easy application, ideal flowability and high tear resistance. Body Double® is easy to mix (1A:1B) and can be applied directly to the skin. It hardens quickly to a very tear-resistant rubber and provides detailed reproductions. With Body Double®, impressions of the face, hands or other parts of the body can be made in a very short time. The use of double cartridges in a dispensing gun makes the application even easier. The two components are then mixed automatically. Available in 2 versions:
(1) Body Double® Standard for larger surfaces, such as torso or head impressions.
(2) Body Double® Fast for quick impressions, such as hand impressions.
The Body Double® Release Cream is used as a separating aid and for easy removal of hair. Beards or eyebrows, for example, are sealed before the impression is taken, and the corresponding hair structure is moulded. A helpful additive for Body Double® is Hyper-Folic®. It is added to the Body Double® and enables the easy impression of hairy skin surfaces (beard, eyebrows etc.). The negative form shows skin details underneath the hair.
