The platform can also be equipped with an automatic system that allows the barriers and the platform floor to be folded and unfolded by motor. The command for this is given via up/down buttons of the landing control at the landings. The stairlift only travels via the external command devices when closed, whereby the barriers are then folded down against the platform floor.
