POMBERGER Goisern was founded in 1984 by Johann Pomberger and is a third-generation family business. Since 2015, the company has been run as a limited liability company, with Johann's son Hans Peter and grandson Jürgen Pomberger as managing directors.
POMBERGER Goisern achieved a remarkable breakthrough on the international market with its own brand "Johann von Goisern", which combines the first name of the company founder "Johann [Pomberger]" and the company location "[Bad] Goisern". From 2010 onwards, eyewear was produced exclusively under this name. The export share of the company has since risen to about 70%.
With almost 40 employees in the meantime, POMBERGER Goisern develops, produces and sells spectacle frames for customers in over 20 countries. In addition to Austria, the company's most important markets include France, the Netherlands, Great Britain and Germany.
In addition to the international distribution of its own brand, the company exclusively distributes frames of the brands bruno banani, Marc Cain and Tamaris in Austria.
Customers and partners appreciate the high quality and the extraordinary design of the "Johann von Goisern" frames, as well as the excellent service offered by the employees.
The company has received awards including the Handwerkspreis ("Fashion & Lifestyle"), Traunstein Award ("Innovation"), Opticon Lieferanten Award ("Most Reliable Supplier") and the Best Business Award (Silver and Gold).
