The family-owned company F. A. Schurig has been producing textile ribbons since 1863 and is one of the oldest and largest ribbon weavers in Germany. Under the brand name Effaband, our products enjoy an excellent global reputation.

We place particular value on quality when selecting our raw materials. The materials we use are selected according to strict EU environmental guidelines as well as being constantly monitored and evaluated by both internal and external specialists. Our employees in the individual manufacturing departments take care when selecting the materials. Our many years of experience and a modern collection of machinery enable us to always produce the desired ribbons for our customers, in a high quality as well as customising them to individual requirements.
Our product portfolio
Over the years, F. A. Schurig has become a comprehensive manufacturer when it comes to complete production and customisation of textile ribbons. The current production range includes attractive ribbons in almost all colour and motif combinations which may be combined as required. The produced ribbons are used, for the most part, in the decorative floristry and packaging sectors. Further, we also make technical tapes for electrical engine plants, as well as the electronics and cable industries.
