Flexographic printing machines have 4 or 10 printing mechanisms. These can be arranged in different variations. Here there are the row construction method, the satellite press and the multi cylinder compact construction. The satellite variety has only one cental printing cylinder. With the other varieties this is not the case. During the printing process with the satellite process the material line is attached to the impression cyclinder during the process. Therefore a very high register accuracy is achieved. In contrast with the row construction method a lot less space is required. As often besides the printing machine a lot of other machines are required. Most printers also have drying equitment, ink pumps, control units and miscellaneous monitoring systems.
