Pellet geometry and pellet uniformity both within a batch as well as between batches have a decisive effect on the feed behavior in an extruder. This must be kept in mind in particular when processing pellets on a laboratory scale, since the screws usually have shallow flights.

Testing extruders for thermoplastics Different process lengths and screw geometries guarantee a wide range of applications. Degassing zones, exchangeable grooved bushes, stroke adjustment systems, etc. allow extremely variable use in the design of extrusion lines. As standard, all extruders are equipped with a microprocessor control, which is located in a swivelling housing above the extruder. Characteristic features are short process lengths, motor-driven feed rolls, special materials for screws and barrels. A modular system for the use of different process lengths enables the systematic development of elastomer compounds. Our main field of activity isthe production of extrusion machines, e.g. various extruders, cutters, coolingbaths, haul-offs, thermal ovens, spare parts, etc., and handling systems,partly for pipes up to 250 mm, sometimes larger on request.
Our highly automated production lines are used in production facilities all over the world. Our aim is to make extrusion processes safer. This includes, for example, very precise control of temperatures and other parameters in the production process. In future, we will achieve this through a very high degree of automation in process control in our newly developed LuMa-Tec production lines.
Worldwide, the demand for rubber and plastic products is on the rise and so is the need for production machinery.

Coextrusion lines for the production of coiled breathing hoses
Co-extrusion line for the production of coiled breathing hoses or spiral hoses put into operation, which leads to a minimization of the turbulence of the breathing air and thus to a reduction of condensate and thus also of germs in the hoses. The main products are hoses with an inner diameter of 15 and 19 mm.
The hose is made of PVC-w and the helix of PVC-h.
Other hose dimensions and material combinations are possible. The line consists of the two extruders KEP 38-25-S (PVC-w), KEP 30-25-S (PVC-h), the co-extrusion die, the calibrator, the 2-part cooling device (with adjustable inlet chute), the automatic cutting device and the hose deposit. The driven deposit belt allows automatic depositing and cutting of hoses up to 3.5 m length. Alternatively, the spiral hoses can also be wound. During production, haul-off speeds of more than 4 m/min were achieved;
