Plate mixers, for example, are mixers with a rotating mixing container. With these mixer types, the rotating mixing vessel is installed in a closely enclosing housing that is resistant to low pressure. The feed and discharge openings as well as the shaft feed-through are vacuum-tight. Sealing in the vacuum-resistant housing of the discharge opening as well as the mixing tool of the shaft feedthrough, which is mounted in a flying position, can be easily carried out as it does not come into contact with the product.
