Description
Edge-zone hardening means locally limited heating (austenitizing) and quenching of components. The inductive heating generates (through middle- or high-frequented alternating current), by means of an inductor adapted to the outline to be hardened, an induced current within the component. This operation creates heat and introduces the hardening process.
