Pellet geometry and pellet uniformity both within a batch as well as between batches have a decisive effect on the feed behavior in an extruder. This must be kept in mind in particular when processing pellets on a laboratory scale, since the screws usually have shallow flights.

Testing extruders for thermoplastics Different process lengths and screw geometries guarantee a wide range of applications. Degassing zones, exchangeable grooved bushes, stroke adjustment systems, etc. allow extremely variable use in the design of extrusion lines. As standard, all extruders are equipped with a microprocessor control, which is located in a swivelling housing above the extruder. Rubber extruders For the processing of elastomers, rubber but also ceramic masses, extruders with modified design are supplied. A modular system for the use of different process lengths enables the systematic development of elastomer compounds.
