Cultivation sweeping machines are attachable automotive machines. This are often mounted on a normal truck chassis or fitted on communal- or construction vehicles. These sweepers work on the principle which is known as the dustpan principle. The sweeper itself is built as follows. It consists of a hopper (container) in which the debris will be contained. Under this lies the separate diesel motor. This drives the ventilator either hydraulically or mechanically. This ventilator provides a vacuum for the container and the dirt sucked in regularly from the street. There is also often even a rotating broom on the vehicle. Most are located on the right hand side of the vehicle. On larger suction sweeper machines a circular broom is attached to the right hand side. This sweeps the debris from the gutter to the sucker of the sweeping machine. Additionally sometimes sweeper rollers are also attached. These are then fixed under the sweeper in the middle and sweep the debris from the middle of the street to the suction device. Quite often such sweeping machines are a vehicle with steering on the right hand side so that the driver can see the street gutters better. Basically there are 3 different types of sweeping units. The mechanical unit, the suction unit and a combination of both varities. With the mechanical variant the dirt from the street is flung from the sweeping rollers onto a conveyor belt. This transports it further into the collection container provided. The combintaion possibility of suction and mechanical unit is still largely unknown. Here the process takes place through a turning roller brush. After that the debris is once more flung onto a belt and transported to a container. The suction unit is made up of several suction fans.
