Following the EU REACH requirements, our new technologies are able to maintain performance specifications of conventional chrome plating and to reduce environmental impact at the same time. In order to obtain shiny chrome surfaces, it is first necessary to bring the base material to the desired degree of gloss by mechanical means at the beginning by grinding, brushing and polishing. This surface is then copper-plated, nickel-plated and finally chrome-plated in a bright chrome electrolyte with layers of approx. 0.2 - 0.5 µm chrome.
