Technical application of electropolishing deburring * Electropolishing enables reliable fine and ultra-fine deburring, the effectiveness of which is determined overall by the shape and size of the burrs, especially in relation to the workpiece. Burrs with a narrow burr base and a large surface area in relation to the mass, such as grinding burrs, are easy to remove. Burrs with thick burr base are not completely removed, but a burr bead remains. If the burrs are too large, mechanical pre-deburring or another process is advantageous from an economic point of view.
