Manufacture of castings and abrasives to customer requirements and / or technical drawing

High-quality steel wires are used for steel wire grit, and for special applications also stainless steel and non-ferrous metal wires of a certain tensile strength are used. The cutting of the wires is done on powerful special machines. Different wire grain qualities are produced. Steel casting abrasive is produced from high quality steel melted in an electric furnace according to the latest processes. Depending on the manufacturing process of the processed raw material grade and the carbon content of the melt, various cast steel blasting media can be produced. The properties of high-carbon steel casting allow the cast grains to be broken, so that both round and angular abrasives are available. By adding the alloying elements chrome and nickel to the molten steel casting, a stainless steel casting is produced from which blasting media is manufactured by granulation. All cast steel abrasives have very different properties which must be taken into account when selecting them for a specific application. Chilled cast iron abrasive is made from molten grey cast iron. After granulation there is no thermal treatment, the material is broken up for its intended use. It is the hardest of the metallic abrasives, has a very high abrasiveness and is mainly used for rough blasting and for cutting stones.

Competence in wheel blasting technology.
We have two locations with over 160 employees. Conception is carried out in Emsdetten, the company`s headquarters. The production is located in the Polish town of Konin.

The potential applications of the shot blast machines reach from treatment of millimeter-sized chain parts to steel constructions structures in the size of overseas containers.
It is a constant challenge to construct the machines so that the quality of the work piece surfaces corresponds to the requirements of the customers. Furthermore, the systems have to be constructed for the required quantities of work pieces and fit into the existing space. This is being appreciated by our customers in various industries. The most important customer groups include the automotive and automotive supplier industry, foundries, forges, steel distributors, the fastener industry and mechanical engineering.
AGTOS also offers high-quality used shot blast plants. The extensive services include stocking and delivery of spare and wear parts. In addition, maintenance, repair and modernization is also carried out on machines from other manufacturers.
