Shoe Manufacturing - Manufacturers, Traders & Suppliers

Shoe Manufacturing
Shoes can and are made of various materials. They are usually made of leather, textiles, rubber and plastics. However, man-made fibres and synthetic fibres also play an important role in shoe production. The main advantage for the use of artificially manufactured materials is the price. Disadvantages of these artificial materials are that the feet can"breathe" more badly due to the synthetic materials and the proverbial"stinky feet" result in a wide spread.Whether in manual work or with the help of technical devices and machines, the shoe production is a craftsmanship with tradition for many years. The resulting product, the shoe, serves primarily to cover the foot and protect the sole of the foot. Fashionable accessories do not serve the wearing comfort but rather represent a fashionable trend. The classification of shoes according to criteria or purpose of use is difficult because there is no uniform regulation. A shoe manufacturer subdivides differently than a shoe seller and this one differently than a shoe wearer. Common subdivisions are for example according to the application, the construction method, the shoe shape, the shoe models, the shoe fastening or according to the base material (sole) and the upper material. One thing is the same for all shoes - work shoes, slippers, low shoes, sandals or boots, in summer or winter, ladies' shoes or men's shoes - the construction is "almost" identical for all. Lasts are used as a starting point for the production of the three-dimensional hollow shape of the shoes. In addition, shoe manufacturers draw on the experience of recent years to produce a shoe with the greatest possible wearing comfort. Shoes are made in a shoe factory, as the name suggests. However, these are no longer produced according to the old craftsmanship but by machine. The most different shoes can be produced in the shortest time. Here are just a few examples: Women's shoes, men's shoes, children's shoes, boots, sandals, low shoes, slippers, sports shoes, etc.Shoe factories were only established in the course of the capitalist industry. In the Middle Ages, shoes were first made by a shoemaker. And only well-to-do people could afford it. Such a pair of shoes was cobbled with much love to the feet properly and should hold a whole life long. The material was of course good leather. The farmers wore bunches of shoes made of linen or fur or later wooden slippers. Various devices and machines are used especially for leather processing in shoe production. Clothing machines, embossing machines, punching machines or eyeletting machines are only a few.The first shoe factories were established in Germany at the end of the 19th century. Traditional shoe factories like Peter Kaiser or Salamander are still very active today. Other shoe factories, especially those of the GDR such as Goldpunkt Berlin, were closed. Some shoe factories have been relocated abroad for profit, where the cost of labour and materials is lower. In addition, many shoes are now also bought in shoe factories in countries that produce cheap shoes. On the other hand, shoes today are often mass-produced, not very durable. There are hardly any cobblers left. More and more synthetic materials are being used in the manufacture of shoes in the chemical industry.
