Aus Tradition fortschrittlich - seit 1887Am 1. November 1887 ist der Moment für die Gründerväter Konrad Güth
und Wilhelm Wolf gekommen, um ihre Unterschriften unter die Urkunde der
Unternehmensgründung zu setzen - damit beginnt die inzwischen über
125-jährige Geschichte der Bandweberei Güth & Wolf.
Sechs Mitarbeiter zählt der Betrieb, die auf den ersten Webmaschinen Etiketten und Besatzbänder herstellen.
In
den über 125 Jahren Unternehmensgeschichte bleiben Veränderungen nicht
aus. Sie sind unumgänglich, mal beeinflusst durch das jeweilige
Zeitgeschehen einer Epoche, mal durch neue technische Entwicklungen, mal
durch die Weiterentwicklung der Gesellschaft und ihrer Bedürfnisse.
Es
wechselten nicht nur die Gesichter, es wurden nicht nur neue Gebäude
errichtet und neue Maschinen gekauft. Auch im Spektrum der Produkte
verschwanden viele, es kamen und kommen neue hinzu und werden
fortlaufend weiterentwickelt mit Kreativität und dem nötigen Fachwissen.
Das Unternehmen überzeugt in eben diesen Punkten: den Hindernissen, die
die Weltgeschichte ihm in den Weg legen mochte, den rauen Zeiten in der
Wirtschaft und den technischen Herausforderungen setzt das Unternehmen
bis heute sein Engagement entgegen, mit Innovation und außergewöhnlichen
Ideen zu überraschen.

sie noch heute ein Familienunternehmen ist mit einem treuen und
zuverlässigen Stamm an Mitarbeitern, der im Jubiläumsjahr 320 Köpfe
zählte.

The family-owned company F. A. Schurig has been producing textile ribbons since 1863 and is one of the oldest and largest ribbon weavers in Germany. Under the brand name Effaband, our products enjoy an excellent global reputation.
Quality and care pays off
We place particular value on quality when selecting our raw materials. The materials we use are selected according to strict EU environmental guidelines as well as being constantly monitored and evaluated by both internal and external specialists. Our employees in the individual manufacturing departments take care when selecting the materials. But this is not where our quality requirements end, this is merely where they begin: We place equal value on optimised production. Our many years of experience and a modern collection of machinery enable us to always produce the desired ribbons for our customers, in a high quality as well as customising them to individual requirements.
Our product portfolio
Over the years, F. A. Schurig has become a comprehensive manufacturer when it comes to complete production and customisation of textile ribbons. The current production range includes attractive ribbons in almost all colour and motif combinations which may be combined as required. The produced ribbons are used, for the most part, in the decorative floristry and packaging sectors. Further, we also make technical tapes for electrical engine plants, as well as the electronics and cable industries.

At Topp Textil, we only develop tapes, textile coatings, technical and medical textiles that are more sustainable than previous ones. This philosophy gives our innovation a clear direction.
When it comes to our new developments for a wide range of industries, we focus on recyclable mono-material solutions, solvent-free and energy-efficient textile coatings, and renewable materials such as textile hemp. Carbon neutrality is not a distant goal for us, but lived reality since 2019.
