Putty is a term for an adhesive and sealant. Wood putty acts as a filler with a mushy consistency. This makes it easier to process. It serves the superficial repair work. To counteract a swing during drying or setting, the compound is applied generously but without unnecessarily soiling the perfect material. After the mass has dried, the material can be sanded with sandpaper. It can happen that too much of the applied putty has been removed. Then you can apply wood putty in a second process and then sand down again as desired. The process of the kitten can be repeated as often as you like. This can also be used to compensate for unevenness, such as knotholes or other wood defects.
