Most feature a handle (made of wood, plastic, or metal) and a core cutting head. The cutting heads are mainly tungsten carbide or synthetic/natural diamond. Many professional models have a built-in oil reservoir for automatic lubrication during cutting, which reduces friction and heat, and extends the tool’s life. There are also multi-wheel or multi-head designs, allowing angle adjustment for flexible cutting, and some have replaceable heads for cost-saving.

Cutting thickness: Common models handle 0.5–8mm glass; specialized ones for thick
glass can cut up to 13mm. For example, Nikken NC - X 03 series suits 0.5–3.0mm thin glass, while its 02/03 series is for 2.0–8.0mm medium-thickness glass.
Cutting wheel specs: The diameter of the tungsten carbide cutting wheel is usually
4–6mm, with a hone angle of 120°–140° for regular glass; 154°–160° obtuse angles are used for 13mm thick glass.
Other specs: Typical tool length is around 15cm. Manual glass cutters weigh only tens of
grams, and the replaceable cutting heads are compatible with most mainstream
models.
