Antriebstechnik hat einen Namen: RENK. Die RENK AG gehört zu
den weltweit führenden Herstellern von Komponenten der Antriebstechnik
und von Prüfsystemen. In den Bereichen Kettenfahrzeuggetriebe,
Gleitlager, Navy-Getriebe und Kupplungen ist das Unternehmen
unangefochtener Weltmarktführer. Auch bei Getrieben für
Wind-Energie-Anlagen (WEA) steht der Name RENK für Leistung
und Qualität.
Hinter diesem Erfolg stecken nicht nur über 140 Jahre Erfahrung
und Entwicklungsarbeit im Bereich der Antriebstechnik, sondern
auch die Kompetenz von weltweit mehr als 2.200 Mitarbeitern,
die mit viel Engagement, Kreativität und Liebe zum technischen
Detail dazu beitragen, dass die RENK AG ihre Führungsposition in

Das RENK Werk in Rheine ist auf die Produktion von Getrieben und
Kupplungen vielfältiger Bauarten spezialisiert. Über 480 Mitarbeiter
entwickeln und fertigen hier Kupplungen in Ganzstahl-Ausführung,
Schiffsgetriebe für Tanker, Container schiffe etc., Turbogetriebe für
Industrieanlagen und Getriebe für 5- bzw. 6-MW-Offshore-WEA.

On September 16th 1961, in the city of Jaraguá do Sul (State of Santa Catarina), an electrician, an administrator and a mechanic combined their knowledge and skills and founded Eletromotores Jaraguá. From the courage of these visionary entrepreneurs the company grew and after some time, the company name changed to WEG, in reference to the initials of the founders. A name that is recognized today as one of the largest manufacturers of electric equipment in the world.
WEG initially produced electric motors, in the 1980s it started to expand its activities, making electrical and electronic parts, products for industrial automation, power and distribution transformers, liquid and powder coatings and electrical insulating varnishes. The company consolidated its position not only as a manufacturer of motors, but also as a supplier of complete industrial electrical systems.
