Money changers are technical devices that are used in many different areas of application to exchange money. They take on the otherwise tedious task of changing money. Such systems often operate fully automatically. In some cases, however, they are also operated manually. Mostly such money exchange machines are used in service areas. At beverage vending machines, money changers automatically take over the return of change. Such machines are also installed at tourist and infrastructurally important locations, for example to divide larger monetary units of the travellers into small quantities in order to facilitate the consumption of goods.
