The components presented here have been developed over a period of several years in close cooperation with customers and optimized for the increased requirements. Thus ifm electronic today offers a sophisticated control and automation system that meets the requirements of the market. In addition to flexibility and performance, the following points were especially emphasized: * Use also at low and high ambient temperatures. * Safety under extreme mechanical stress due to impact and shock loads. * Can also be used where dirt, water and moisture have a direct influence. * Operational reliability in case of strong fluctuations of the supply voltage in the battery/generator system. * Insensitivity to conducted and radiated interference on the entire electrical system. * Provision of an application-compatible networking option with the mobile-capable serial bus CAN. Requirements for the system Open communication Open communication standards allow ecomatmobile to be easily connected to other electronic components. In addition to networking via the CANopen protocol, gateway functions offer user-friendly interfaces. For example, the electronics of the drive motors can be integrated via SAE J1 939. Of course, the interfaces LBS+ and ISO bus, which are common in agricultural machinery technology, are also used. Remote maintenance and diagnostics The acquisition of diagnostic data in the sensors and network components - the basis for a powerful and cost-effective remote maintenance concept. The service and operating data are read out via a radio link and can also be changed if necessary. The radio gateway CANremote is a GSM radio modem suitable for mobile use. It handles the data transfer between the CAN and GSM networks. In this way, faults can be rectified and machine functions optimised for the respective operating conditions. A service technician on site is not required. With the GPS option, additional machine positions can be recorded or position-dependent functions can be implemented (e.g. tracking, precision farming). Highest EMC resistance The sensors as well as the control components all meet the increased requirements regarding interference emission and sensitivity for mobile-suited components. In addition, a large proportion of the devices have e1 type approval from the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt. These devices may therefore be fitted to vehicles without affecting their type-approval. Beyond the required EMC limit value of the e1 type approval, all devices have an extremely high EMC resistance of 100 V/m and easily tolerate automotive electrical pulses. Use under extreme conditions For use in mobile applications, the devices meet the important requirements: extended temperature range between -40°C ... +85°C, protection class IP67 and IP69 K for sensors. Special environmental tests such as salt spray test, cyclical temperature changes with humidity, rapid temperature changes do not affect the functioning of the devices. The robust, mobile-suitable housing design ensures high shock and vibration resistance. Electronics for hydraulics In mobile machines and systems, most functions are performed by hydraulic systems. The electronic control of valves and pumps is now standard in modern machines. The ecomatmobile system offers, for example, current-controlled PWM outputs and optimised controller functions for the power outputs. This means that the interface between hydraulics and electronics is no longer a problem, regardless of the supplier of the hydraulic components.
